Picklesbird Cosplay, known out of the super suit as Shelly, is a long time cosplayer based out of Edmonton, Alberta. Shelly has been creating cosplays for over a decade starting out as a clueless preteen with nothing but her allowance and pocket change and knack for thrifting and altering existing and unusual items to create quality costumes. As a convention attendee for most of her life, Shelly is an avid fan of most genres of geekery, and her costume variety spans between comics, manga, video games, and more. Shelly has been published internationally and has been a part of numerous creative modelling creations, fan films, and other productions. She loves to share her cosplay experiences with others and does her best to promote awareness of mental health issues to help fight the stigma of mental illness. When not sewing and crafting, you can usually find Shelly at home reading comics with her cats while drinking excessive amounts of tea.
Sabastian has always been interested in the comic world, especially Batman, ever since he could remember. Cosplaying Batman was an obvious choice, and made his first suit when he was 13 years old with just black clothes, a Halloween cape and a lot of gaff tape. This suit sparked a new found love for this hobby, and his builds only progressed and improved over the years. In 2011, he decided to start a group where like-minded people can get together, wear their super suits, and volunteer their time for various charity groups within Saskatchewan. In those years, Sabastian and his Justice League of Saskatoon (JLS) have got together for dozens of charity events, helping children smile and creating happy memories.
